Sydney Sweeney Accused of Nazi Ties After Wearing Denim, Experts Say Her Initials ‘SS’ Are No Coincidence
Bias: Center-Center
- Critics claim Sydney Sweeney’s American Eagle ad is “Fourth Reich Chic” because… denim, eagles, and her SS initials.
- Sylvester Stallone dragged in for also having SS initials, experts fear the rise of a “Stormtrooper Society.”
- American Eagle denies Nazi ties, asks people to stop photoshopping Hitler mustaches on Sweeney, and to please buy more jeans.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Hollywood starlet Sydney Sweeney, best known for her roles in Euphoria and Things No One Actually Watches on HBO Max, is now facing intense backlash from the online Left after starring in a new American Eagle commercial that critics are calling “the most overt display of Nazi propaganda since Anne Frank House gift shop released HideCoin: the first crypto you can’t trace.”
Sweeney, clad in classic blue jeans and a white wife beater, was seen posing like she just discovered freedom, denim, and Bud Light all in the same afternoon. This image, according to certain corners of Twitter, now officially rebranded as “X for Xenophobia,” was “eerily reminiscent of 1940s Germany.”
“She’s blonde. She’s wearing denim. There’s an eagle. This is literally Nazi Germany,” tweeted activist @PansexualAntifa69, whose bio includes 17 flags and a reminder that “silence is violence, but also speech is violence.”
Coincidence? Experts Say Nein.
Of course, this isn’t the first time a blonde celebrity in minimal clothing sparked outrage. When Paris Hilton starred in a Carl’s Jr. ad a few years ago, the backlash was mostly about whether it was too sexy for TV and whether feminists could handle a burger ad without staging a sit-in, or chaining themselves to the Carl’s Jr. drive-thru.
Strangely, no one accused Paris of being a Nazi, even though she was photographed 15 years ago allegedly giving the “Heil Hitler” salute at a party, which was later dismissed as “just Paris being Paris.”
Apparently, if you’re washing a Bentley in slow motion with a burger, it’s provocative, but wear denim near an eagle and suddenly you’re leading the Fourth Reich.
A growing number of online sleuths have pointed to Sweeney’s initials, SS, as “undeniable proof” of Nazi sympathies. “It’s right there,” said Dr. Blayne McPherson, Professor of Overanalysis at Berkeley. “The SS insignia was used by the Schutzstaffel (Nazi Death Squad). Now Sydney Sweeney is posing with eagles and denim. Are we supposed to not connect the dots?”
Some have taken this further by pointing out that Sylvester Stallone also shares the same initials, SS, and once posed for a photo with Donald Trump, which, according to scholars, confirms a far-right alliance known as the Stormtrooper Society
“Stallone starred in Rambo, a film series glorifying American militarism. What’s next, Rocky IV: The Reich Awakens?” tweeted automated outrage bot @RedGuardGirlie.
Critics Push Back: “By That Logic, Sarah Silverman’s a Nazi Too”
Those on the non-insane side of the internet were quick to note that under the “Equitable Initials Framework”, several beloved liberal celebrities may be Nazis as well.
“Sarah Silverman has SS initials. Is she a Nazi too?” asked Joe Rogan on his podcast. Silverman, who famously described herself as “very Jewish, culturally,” has in the past leaned heavily into Jewish humor.
When asked about the allegations, she replied:
“I’m agnostic. I have no religion. But culturally I can’t escape it, I’m very Jewish. But also, sure, let’s say I’m part of a secret Nazi cabal. That tracks.”
American Eagle Responds: “We Just Sell Pants”
In response to the outrage, American Eagle released a statement:
Our jeans are made for everyone: Left, Right, or Conspiracy Cult. We don’t endorse Nazis. We endorse affordable denim. Please stop tagging us in those weird photoshops of Sydney Sweeney with Hitler mustaches. Also, buy more jeans.
What’s Next?
According to unnamed sources, Congressional Democrats are considering a bill to ban the use of SS initials in public life. This would immediately cancel Sydney Sweeney, Sylvester Stallone, Sarah Silverman, and possibly even Social Security.
Stay tuned. This denim fascism won’t expose itself.
